Who are BetEasy?
BetEasy is an NT licensed bookmaker with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and a call-center in the Northern Territory. The bookmkaer as we know it today has a back and forth history, branded as Betezy until September 2014, BetEasy until March 2015, CrownBet until August 2018, and now BetEasy again. So the cirlce is now complete you may say…
In March 2014, Matthew Tripp, the former owner of Sportsbet, purchased Betezy, and then rebranded as BetEasy in September 2014.
In January 2015, BetEasy launched a joint venture with Betfair, where Betfair would focus solely on exchange betting, while BetEasy provided fixed-odds and Tote wagering products. This joint venture was a result of Crown Resorts deal with BetEasy owner Matthew Tripp, which effectively gave Crown Resorts control of BetEasy. Crown Resorts owns two-thirds, with Tripp owns the remaining third of CrownBet.
In early 2018 The Stars Group Inc become the majority shareholder of CrownBet. The Stars Group is a Canadian online gambling company. It is headquartered in Toronto and is traded on the Nasdaq and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
In March 2018 William Hill Australia, which includes Centrebet, was sold to CrownBet.
In August 2018, William Hill Australia merged with CrownBet and the two were re-branded as BetEasy. The BetEasy website design is the same as what CrownBet offered, with a different, very purple colour scheme.
BetEasy is focused on the Australian punters, and is an approved betting partner with the AFL, NRL, Cricket Australia and Tennis Australia.

BetEasy Website Layout
Homepage – The BetEasy website isn’t anything overwhelming, and is pretty much the same old CrownBet design, (although it is very purple), with the standard three column layout featuring a LHS menu with Quick Links, a center section featuring Next Up racing and sports, a banner carousel and the usual RHS Betslip.
The website itself hasn’t upgraded and has taken most of the layout of the BetEasy site, which is fine, and there were many who deemed the design of one of the best in the business, particularly with the app, which was a favourite among punters.
Although BetEasy lacks some of the polish of other wagering website layouts, everything and more is there.
The LHS sports navigation menu is static. When you select a sport, filters are displayed in a heirachy, eg. NBA > NBA Matches > Single NBA Matches) which makes it easy to select a category without loading new pages.
BetEasy Sports Markets
Sports markets (this example uses NRL) shows the Head to Head, Line and Margin markets. To see other betting markets for a single match, you need to click on specific Markets for individual matches.
The markets for the current round and future rounds are displayed on the one page, which makes it easy to place a multibet over multiple rounds.
Single match betting markets
Once you’ve clicked on a single match, a new page will display which will show all markets for the match in an accordian style betting markets layout, a very simple way to scroll through all markets.
The use of the accordion style page layout display each exotic market (eg. NRL First Try Scorer, Pick Your Own Line etc) is okay and is the standard across most online betting agencies.
Overall the ability to easily find your market and add it to your betslip is very simple.
BetEasy Racing Markets
Thoroughbred racing markets are available for both Australian and International racing. Greyhound and harness betting is available for tracks across Australia and New Zealand.
Next To Jump markets are available on the BetEasy homepage for Thoroughbred, Greyhound and Harness, with a filter to select the next five races by category.
Individual Race Markets
For most Australian thoroughbred venues, Fixed-Odds, Best Tote+ (best Place dividend of the three TABs and the official starting price) and Best Tote (best Win/Place dividend of the three TABs) are available.
For harness and greyhounds you get Midi Div and for overseas thoroughbreds you get VIC + 5%.
The layout of the page is easy enough to use, with tabs to show Win/Place, Quinella, Trifecta, Exacta, First Four and New Bet Types.
