NRL Pick Your Own Line

NRL Pick Your Own Line bets are a variation of the general Line markets, where you can adjust the line for the match.

With Pick Your Own Line, you will be able to select a line that you think is the best value, with the odds adjusting as you adjust make the line.

Below is an example of how the markets are set, however this is only a small sample size.

The line will grow larger as the (-) market extends, and smaller as the (+) market extends.

For this example, the bettor has selected Team A -19.5__$8.00

How are the returns calculated for an NRL Pick Your Own Line bet?

The estimated returns are calculated as:

(Team A Odds) $8.00 x $10 (Stake)

Estimated Returns = $80.00


Calculating the profit on an NRL Pick Your Own Line bet –

(Estimated Returns) $80.00 – $10.00 (Stake)

Estimated Profit = $70.00

Tip – To make an informed Pick Your Own Line bet we suggest –

  • Check the past five matchups between the two sides, some sides perform better against others, and you may be able to find some value with an underdog.
  • Generally, we tend to extend the (+) with the underdogs when it comes to NRL Pick Your Own Line bets. It is more conservative, and if you are placing it in a multi, it’s a much safer option.
  • If you are confident of a large victory, extend the (-) line, but be careful not to get too greedy.

NRL Try Scorer Markets

Listed below are the different Try Scorer Markets –

1st Try Scorer/Team A – Select which player from Team A will score the first try.

To Score a Try – Select a player to score a try at any time during the game.

To Score 2 or more Tries – Select a player to score 2 or more tries during the game.

To Score 3 or more Tries – Select a player to score 3 or more tries during the game.

To Score a 1st Half Try – Select a player to score a try during the first half.

To Score a 2nd Half Try – Select a player to score a try in the second half.

First or Last Try Scorer – Select a player to score either the first or last try. Either will result in a winning bet.

Last team to Score a Try – Select the first team to score a try in the game.


Player/Team Doubles Markets

Player double markets require the bettor to select from markets which combine a single player, and the outcome of the game.

There are many different Double Team and Player bets to choose from, for this example we are showing the Double Markets for the categories – Player to score a try/Match Winner.

There are hundreds of Double markets available that combine team/player, player/player and team/team results.

In the example below, the bettor has selected Player A/Player C__$32.00

Estimated Profit = $140.00


Tip – To make an informed Doubles bet we suggest to –

  • Follow the recent form the player and the team.
  • Take a deep breath and have a crack. With markets like these, you’re always taking a risk. Do the due course and follow the stats for both players and teams over their last five games and click submit. Perhaps find a wishing star also.

NRL Time Markets

Time Markets require the bettor to select which time of the game tries will be scored.

There are hundreds of Double markets available that combine team/player, player/player and team/team results.

In the example below, the bettor has selected the time of the first ‘Team A’ try to be at 15.00 minutes or later in the match.

Tip – To make an informed Time Market bet we suggest to –

  • Follow the statistics regarding how teams start games. Some teams start games more slowly than others, and the same can be said for second half of games.
  • If one team has shown form to suggest they start poorly in the second half of games and the other team scores quickly, go with the second team.

NRL Player Exotics Betting

Player exotic bets can include pretty much anything, and are up to the creativity of the bookmaker.

They can include – 

Most tries in a Group – Player must score the most tries within the nominated list of players. Generally there can be up to 4 groups to select from.

Most try assists in a group – Player must tally the most try assists within the nominated list of players.

Most Try Assists Head to Head – Pick from between two players to have the most try assists in a ‘Player A vs Player B’ format.

Most tackles in a Group – Select which player will have the most tackles within the nominated list of players.

Most meters gained in Group – Select which player will have the most meters gained within the nominated list of players.
